Guy Seeking Medical Help - Charitable Organization in Southfield, MI

We provide various types of assistance, for people with chronic and debilitating illnesses, especially those who are uninsured or under-insured.

Our Organization

The purpose of our organization is to make life a little easier for those who are suffering and could really use a helping hand. There are too many people in our community, who have an illness that is causing a financial hardship. No one, should have to choose between food or their prescriptions.

In Michigan, there are approximately 900,000 cases of Chronic Kidney Disease and 1.65 million cases of Diabetes, respectively. This year alone, there are expected to be over 57,000 new Cancer cases in the State.

Help Really Living achieve it's goal of helping people live their best lives, by donating to our cause. All of the services we provide are free to the patients and there is no income requirement.

How We Got Our Start
Mr. John Cook, a 38-year-old single father and Detroit native, founded the Really Living Foundation in 2002. He is also a philanthropist and entrepreneur who was diagnosed with End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) over 20 years ago.

Despite having been on dialysis for 2 decades, John has vigorously pursued all of his personal and business aspirations. His philosophy is that, no diagnosis, no matter how dire, should define us as human beings. Mr. Cook believes, that a patients' condition should not impede their aspirations.
